Ive solely used these gauntlets for beaver trapping. Whether its in the fall, during the middle of the winter, or march and april; i ues these gloves no matter what. They allow me to wear a pair of gloves underneath when theres ice in the water which is a huge plus.

I do nuisance trapping, so I don’t hump my traps far. They add more weight than the wire triggers, but the benefit for me is I don’t have “wire hesitation” from the animal coming out of a den. They see “clear sailing”
