Top effectiveness with dog proof traps requires a bait with more than good odor. The bait must also have a great flavor. A bait coon will eat, lick their paws and come back for more. Baits laced with ingredients/oils, etc, are far too bitter, sending the coon on his way once he gets a taste of it. This type of bait is only effective with box or foothold coon traps. Thumbs Up is a two-way bait (flavor and odor) equal in pipe or regular coon traps, a top mink bait.
